These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyHandyDocs mobile application and this website (together, the "Service") provided by MyHandyDocs ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into a binding agreement, to use the Service. By using MyHandyDocs, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your Account
Access to MyHandyDocs requires an account created with your name, mobile phone number and a password (email optional), with your phone number verified by a one-time SMS code at signup. You are responsible for maintaining control of the phone number, password and device associated with your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. 3. Your Content
You retain all ownership of the documents and information you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and the people you choose to share it with. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to store and share it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
- Upload content that you do not have the right to store or share, or that infringes the rights of others.
- Upload malware or any material designed to disrupt or damage the Service or other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems and infrastructure.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service, or circumvent security or rate-limiting measures.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the Service except as expressly permitted.
5. Document Sharing
The Service allows you to share documents privately within groups you create. You are responsible for deciding what to share and with whom. Sharing is reversible — you may revoke invites or remove members at any time. You should only share documents with people you trust.
6. Service Availability
We work hard to keep the Service reliable and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always accessible. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features of the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. An internet connection is required to upload, download and sync your documents.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on trusted third-party providers, including cloud storage, database, hosting and messaging services, to function. Your use of the Service is also subject to the availability and performance of these providers. Our handling of your data through these providers is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Fees
MyHandyDocs is currently free to download and use. If we introduce paid features or plans in the future, we will present the applicable terms and pricing clearly before you incur any charge.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. While we take strong measures to protect your documents, you are responsible for retaining your own copies of important documents. We do not warrant that the Service will meet all your requirements or be free from errors.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyHandyDocs and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyHandyDocs from any claims, liabilities, damages and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts, except where prohibited by applicable law.
